Clive Sutton approached Rebel Bee to establish them as the leading luxury car dealership in the UK. The objective was to increase visibility and to drive traffic for ‘American cars for sale’, and relevant keywords around that topic. Clive Sutton had never previously ranked competitively for this topic or many keywords generally at all.
Clive Sutton sits in the niche vertical of car dealerships, due to their focus of the American car imports and luxury cars, so it was imperative to stand out and build Clive Sutton’s authority and reputation to dominate the organic space.
What Was Delivered?
Creating Optimal Customer Journeys
After analysing users web activity via Hotjar, we found that users were landing on pages, and quickly navigating away multiple times, not seeming to find what they were looking for. We completely rearranged the menu bar, incorporating a mega menu to allow us to have multiple columns to organise into categories. By having this layout and improving label names, it has made it easier for users to differentiate services, cars for sale, and how to sell a car. Therefore, improving the users’ journey through the site.
Improved Web Infrastructure
A strong website infrastructure is important for every company as it helps search engines know that your business is the real deal. We improved Clive Sutton’s website infrastructure by integrating microdata for vehicle listings, such as fuelType and modelDate in the hope to increase the visibility of their products in search, and helping Google correctly display information. We also incorporated Stackpath and CDN to help minify CSS and Javascript files and improve site speed.
Boost Web Visibility
We analysed and improved Clive Sutton’s on-page content, updated key landing pages designs and copy, as well as introducing new content pages in other areas to increase visibility and enhance the staying power of visitors. Also working with YouTube and other partners to increase referral traffic.
